Dr. Arpita Sharma Kandpal is Assistant Professor in the Department of Agricultural Communication, College of Agriculture, Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. She is also the Assistant Director Communication. Earlier, she was Assistant Professor in the Directorate of Extension Education, Anand Agricultural University, Anand, Gujarat.

She obtained her M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree from the Department of Agricultural Communication, College of Agriculture, Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. Earlier, she also completed her B.Sc. degree in Home Science from the same university.

She got class merit scholarship during her school period, Teaching Assistantship during M.Sc., and University Grants Commission-JRF Fellowship during Ph.D. She also received Indian Council of Social Science Research Post-Doctoral Fellowship. She has cleared both Indian Council of Agricultural Research as well as University Grants Commission NET examinations.

She received Best Poster, Best Oral Presentation, as well as Young Scientist awards in different conferences. She has attended National as well as International Conferences and presented erudite research papers. She has published review papers, research papers, and articles in various reputed journals and magazines.

She was Warden of Golden Jubilee Ph.D. Students’ Hostel. She also served as NSS Programme Officer and Staff Counsellor of Agricultural Communication Society and PG Society. Her research interest areas are Community Radio, Gender Issues, Rural Development, and ICTs. She has published many articles and research papers on Community Radio in various reputed journals and magazines. She has also received the Best Thesis Award on Community Radio.
